Basic Character
Information
Character
name:
Veronica Martin
Age/D.O.B: 25/ 07.28.1982
Occupation: She’s an executive assistant at a talent agency.
Appearance
Eye color: Brown.
Hair color: Brown with salon highlights.
Weight: 140 lbs
Height: 5’6”
Clothing: Because she's required to dress business-casual-yet-stylish-and-trendy for work, on the weekends Veronica is usually seen wearing tee shirts, jeans, and sneakers.
Scars: She has a scar on her left hip from a silver ring. A man grabbed her once, roughly, and held her long enough to burn into her skin and leave a scar. Because it was silver, the scar didn't disappear after the next Shift. In time it will disappear after enough Shifts, but it's still there.
Tattoos: No tattoos, she'd heal too quickly for them to be administered properly.
Other distinctive features:
She wears bracelets. Lots of them.

Animal Appearance: Wolf
Further
Details
Species:
werewolf
Group: Lusus Pack
How does your character feel about being in this group? Ronnie isn't really happy with a lot of the more questionable activities she sees the wolves taking part in. She joined the pack in order to protect herself in a new city, but she's having trouble making friends because underneath her careful personality she's a reluctantly good person. She is already very interested (and as cautiously active as she's brave enough to be) in groups of werewolves that ally with white covens. Regardless of her doubt about the ethical nature of most of the pack, she is loyal to it because she understands the importance behind a strong alpha and a protective pack. Deep down, she hopes to move up in rank and make changes for the better.

Abilities and Strengths: Like all werewolves, Veronica can change into her beast at will and her wounds begin to heal almost instantaneously. She has incredible strength that supercedes that of any human's. Her speed, agility, and senses are enhanced due to her lycanthropic nature. Other strengths of Veronica's include her fierce ambition, demure confidence, and turn-it-into-a-joke way of dealing with life's blows. She has a way of figuring out what people expect and want and can adjust her character in order to please whoever she wishes. This talent is useful with her job as an executive assistant at a talent agency, where it is basically her job to schmooze people silly without getting their hopes up. Special talents include writing, crude Photoshop skills, typing ninety-seven words per minute, and knowing how to do "The Running Man."

Weaknesses: Veronica's werewolf related weaknesses are her severe allergy to silver and inability to control the change on the full moon. Another weakness she tries to hide is her overall distrust of people in general. She tends to over-think things and get herself worked up over something that is probably nothing. She also has trouble asking people for help when she needs it.
Personality
General
description:
Veronica is an eclectic young woman. She's unpredictable at times but always tolerable, even in her flakiest moments. The most impulsive part of her is her mouth, and sometimes she speaks before she thinks. Despite her large personality she's a reasonable woman who makes valid attempts to think things through before flying off the handle. Though easily annoyed, she rarely explodes and most people seem to think she's mild mannered until they know her well. Though she distrusts people from the start, she still hopes they're as honest as they appear to be and opens up without too much encouragement or prodding.

She's witty and extremely sarcastic, though a small portion of her humor comes with funny faces and silly voices. She's not afraid to look like an idiot in front of people she likes enough. Beneath her self-deprecating jokes and laid-back weekend wardrobe Ronnie likes herself, and it shows. She flirts, but it's so light-hearted it's difficult to tell whether she's serious or not..and she likes it that way. Once she chooses who she trusts, she heads into the relationship head and heart first and shows how loyal she truly is, all the while hoping she won't be disappointed.

When she is angry she's extremely hard to be around, like most women. She gets angry first and cries second, because she's reluctant to appear weak in front of people. If she's ticked off enough she won't listen to reason and chooses to temporarily pout or throw things before listening to sound advice from anyone. Even in her darkest moments, however, she manages to pull herself together and act as reasonable as possible under the circumstances after she's given a few moments to collect her thoughts.

Introvert or Extrovert? She's a fake extrovert. She's friendly, flirty, and easy to talk to, but she'll rarely ask to make plans or solidly agree to them.
Phobias or Fears? She's really afraid of bats, even though bats (and most animals) avoid her anyway. She understands it's an irrational fear and doesn't try to defend it. She also has a small fear of rejection and being like her parents.
Past
Brief
History:
Veronica is originally from Seattle, WA. She grew up in a relatively normal family – in other words, reasonably dysfunctional. Her mother left her father when Veronica was eighteen and her brother was sixteen to become a liberated woman. Veronica barely tolerates her on good days, and doesn’t realize how strangers don’t find her mother as irritating as she does. She doesn’t speak to her father except for on holidays and her birthday, when he calls and initiates uncomfortable conversation for a few minutes. Now that she’s out on her own, she seems much more relaxed. She has a BA in Liberal Arts. She never wanted to go to college. The reason she left home is one that she doesn’t tell a lot of people. Since moving, the few people she has told have been potential employers since, legally, she needs to fess up to having been arrested.

Veronica was charged for assault and battery in her hometown after a man tried to molest and/or rape her on the street late one night when she was coming home from her after school job. On instinct, the teenage Veronica twisted around and attacked the man with the full force of a frightened female werewolf. The man’s jaw was dislocated and she cracked one of his ribs. Of course, witnesses never saw the man grab Veronica, they only saw her attack him. Police were on the scene in minutes. Veronica was too focused on forcing her body to stay in its human form and not shift like it was trying to do, due to her high stress and adrenaline levels, to run off. Like a good criminal will do, the man took full advantage of the faulty court system and pressed charges against the high school student he had only tried to ‘prevent from stepping too close to an open store cellar.’

She’s come to San Francisco in hopes of a new start, putting the suspicious stares of her family and friends behind her. She’s slightly more paranoid about hiding her lycanthropy from humans, but she’s pretty much over the entire incident. She settled for the first moderately paying job with benefits she found here in San Francisco, and actually enjoys her position at the talent agency. She’s effectively paid to organize and be friendly, two things she’s very good at.
